Booking gates
Booking gates stop a lesson being saved when a required document is missing or expired, or when a capability is not granted. They live under Settings → My lists → Booking Gates.
What a gate checks
Each gate has a subject (student, instructor, or aircraft), a kind (document current, or capability), and the document types or capability types it requires. Account-default gates apply to every booking unless you override them on a lesson.
Examples
- Student medical current before dual or solo
- Student ASIC or licence current
- Instructor category rating for the aircraft
- Aircraft maintenance release current (see maintenance releases)
Attach to a lesson
Open the lesson under Catalogue and assign extra gates, or clear the account defaults for that service. Dispatch still sees the failure reason when a booking is refused.
